Photos: Campiello to Pola de Allande

At La Mortera the Camino splits. The higher route takes one day to reach Berducedo, but is not for lone walkers or in poor weather. The lower route via Pola de Allande is recommended, passing over the high ground on the second day between Pola and Berducedo. The two routes and the height guide can be seen on the sign. The shorter fork, which turns left, is the one for Pola, and can also be seen on the waymark. This being Asturias the hinge end of the shell sign is the pointer.




There was still some snow on the highest mountains. When I started to walk they were half covered.
